For example:
My brother in law is an aspiring triathlete who was told he needed to think about getting some strength training in to improve his performance.
He didn't know where to start so he went along to his local gym, explained his situation to one of the personal trainers and trusted his judgement.
Unfortunately the PT put him through an off the shelf, bro-tastic, bodybuilder routine with masses of leg work, bicep curls, tricep kick backs etc.
Afterwards my brother in law couldn't walk for 4 days and couldn't do any Triathlon training properly for two weeks. Training program buggered.
Be smart, train bespoke to your situation.
